Best Instruments to learn with significant other?

My boyfriend of almost 4 years and I wanted to learn 2 instruments together. The type of music we'd like to play is Celtic, Irish, Bluegrass. What are the best instruments that sounds well as a duet, and will be amazing with that genre of music?
