Question about shiva candle being blown out?

My grandmother died on Sunday and the funeral was today. We are of Jewish descent, and though we are not orthodox we still follow some customs. We received a shiva candle to light once we got home. Does anyone know statistically, how difficult it is to get on phoenix Fire Department?

I use to live in Colorado and was trying to get on Denver Fire. Unfortunately as I was working through the cadet program I got a DUI this resulted in me being disqualified for life at the time I was 21. This disqualification occurred because I had another DWAI that was dropped when I was 18. But obviously the Fire Dept has the capability of finding a DWAI, even if it was dropped. The one that was dropped was combined with the DUI that I received resulting in immediate termination. I recently moved to Phoenix and was told the they were less harsh. I have not drank since that last DUI at 21, I am now 28 I am hoping that I can find a fire department that will recognize that I have made necessary lifestyle/character changes to fulfill the demands of this occupation.

From Pharmacist to Doctor?

I would love to be a doctor, but I do not believe I could afford med school. Combined, my parents only make 50,000 a year. I have been considering becoming a pharmacist through a six year program instead, and after working a number of years applying to med school. Is this a good idea? I really am interested in studying pharmacy, I just don't like the job itself very much (I've job shadowed pharmacists before). However, I love the job of a Radiologist, and the study to become a doctor.

Storing firearms in hot closet?

I bought a dehumidifier for my closet which keeps the room at a low humidity. However, combined with the summer heat, the dehumidifier makes the temperature 90 degrees Farenheit. I've heard that as long as the humidity is low and the temperature remains relatively constant, the guns, when oiled properly should be fine. i recently got a letter from the irs stating my wife and i still owe 1500 bucks from 2009. it continued to explain. she claimed 6000ish. the irs says her employer claimed she made 13000. ive already presented the w2 we filed with in 2009. and they still say she was payed 13000 dollars that year. ive done what the forms the irs sent said to do. and it didnt change anything. its like her actual w2 doesnt matter. i tried calling countless numbers, countless times. all off irs forms and websites. all automated with no way to contact a person and all with information not reguarding my circumstance. what should i do? im lost. they gave us a mere month and 1500 is litterally a month and a half of our combined income if we didnt pay our bills. were poor and live in a fairly bad area economically. most people here dont break 30,000 a year. how can i pay this? how can they make me? ive alredy presented the papers proving that she didnt make 13k. yet the irs says we are still responsible for the 1500 in taxes on 13000 she didnt even make! Personally, I think it's hard to really compile a list of all time greats. The thing is, the game changes so much. I agree with you that Bonds was a unique hitter. Whether some of that came from steriods, he was still unpitchable. The one thing that sort of jumps out at me is that you don't have the Babe in w/o the DH. I think he needs to be in both lineups! I mean he was a 342 hitter with over 2,000 walks and 700 hrs in a time people didn't hit homeruns! I just got my ACT scores in, I got a composite score of 32. 30 on English, 34 on Mathematics, 33 on Critical Reading, 30 on Science, and a 28 on combined English and Writing (8 on my essay). For some reason my SAT was much lower, 1780. 670 Math, 520 Writing, 590 Critical Reading. I think it may have been because I answered too many questions, since you're penalized for wrong answers, but still, I wouldn't expect that big of a difference. I'm heading into my senior year of high school, my GPA is 3.91, and I'm also the president of National Honor Society at my school. South Beach Phase 1 Results?

i'm about 25 pounds overweight, and i'd like to lose some (or all) of that weight this summer before i start college. My MIL has reached her limit with us?

I love my MIL as a person, but she is terrible with finances, and her kids find themselves picking up most of her bills because of her poor financial planning. Her dogs are 100% outside dogs, always have been, they are huge, dirty, smelly, and pretty much untrained. These are not small pampered lap pets, they are just fine out in the elements. Instead of saving up to pay a professional to fix it for years to come, she assumed I would pay for the materials to do a crappy patch job that will probably blow right off again because Im not a carpenter. The monsoons are coming, so she called me up the other day and told me she needed me to come fix it asap. She can't afford the $250 materials I'll need, so guess who gets to pay? I suggested building a small wood shelter for the dogs instead, which would be just as effective and cost only about $50. But no, they have to have a whole covered porch to stay out of the rain. These dogs will be perfectly fine out in the rain come on why should I have to help them out.. If she cant afford them then she should take them to the pound right?

Should i forgive my dad?

My dad is bipolar and has been arrested over 30 times for numerous things-assault, aggrivated battery, attempted murder, tresspassing, violating perole, violating O.P., endangerment of a child, stalking, the list goes on and on. Hundreds of dark red/black dots on my bed?

For the third time now, I have come home to find hundreds of little black/red dots on my white sheets. They are tiny tiny, like poppyseeds at the largest. Today, I was also lucky enough to find a bug with the dots. The insect is about 1/16th of an inch long, and is brown/black colored. I've also found these dots once on the top of my refrigerator, and once on my mantle under my TV. I just can't figure out what to these are and what to do! Please help..

I just wanted to know the best way for my boyfriend and I to get down on our debt. I got quite a few rude answers before. we got in debt during a time of unemployment but both are now working. Sweet violin duet music?

What I find helps is asking your violin teacher but also if you go to the closest music store you can look at books for violin duets. I played a duet this year that was probably what you're looking for. It was In Dreams from the fellowship of the ring (Lord of the Rings). I got it out of a music book that you can buy from a music store or online. Movie songs are generally medium difficulty or really really hard but you have to want it. Trust me start of with the movie stuff then continue to Suzuki book five for harder duets.

Is my friend jealous of me?

Okay so my best friend Kayla is really competitive. Once i started playing guitar she said she wanted to play drums, then she said she wanted to play keyboard, so then she got a keyboard and she started telling everybody at school that she's going to start taking lessons and if they knew that playing keyboard highers your test grades. Also once in choir we sang a duet and after wards people complimented me, and Kayla was right next to me and she got mad. And sometimes people will compliment on my clothes and if Kayla is around she'll say "I helped her pick that out" or if she has the same shirt like it she'll say "I have the same shirt why don't you ever tell me anything!!"
