How can I put multiple images on my desktop background?

I have several images that i cannot choose from to put on my desktop background so I was wondering how can I use multiple images to combine one background, I have a Toshiba Laptop and it has Windows Vista Basic, So if you could help me that would be great. Is there anything I could download? Thanks!
