How do we complete an image that is only one part or one half of the body?

When I copy an image from Google, for example, it is usually the torso or occasionally more. I would like to complete the image. I ususally look for images that show the missing parts of the body and combine them with Photoshop but I am seldom satisfied with the results. What is the best way?
