How do i connect to the animal in my dream?

My friend recently died we had the same thing as you but see hers was a bear and not to long ago I saw a bear in our backyard staring at me then I guess a bear wave I mean legit she died from nvm don't want to talk about it :( it worked trying to connect with her in the dreams then the next day she was ya know dead hope I helped :D
