Was It A Titans Mistake?

Do you think it was a mistake for one of the creators or writers to say that Dick Grayson is not in love with Starfire anymore? To me personally no, but does that mean that he wants to move Titans away from his life for good and forever live in the Bat Mantle? And since he supposedly moved past Starfire would he really be better with Barbara or Helena a.k.a. Huntress?
